Michelle E. Lee joined K&F in 2021 after graduating from Columbia Law School, where she served as an Essays Editor on the Columbia Law Review, was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, and worked on criminal matters at The Legal Aid Society and The Bronx Defenders. She will be leaving K&F in October 2022 for a judicial clerkship with The Honorable Kiyo A. Matsumoto, U.S. District Judge in the Eastern District of New York.

During law school, Ms. Lee worked on state and federal legislative efforts at the Brennan Center for Justice and the Center for Popular Democracy. She also served as a constitutional law research assistant to Professor Jamal Greene, and a First Amendment teaching assistant to Lee Bollinger, President of Columbia University.

Ms. Lee worked at the Berkeley Law Human Rights Center prior to attending law school. She received her B.A. with honors from the University of California, Berkeley in 2016.
