Malaika Thiam-Bockman is a rising senior at Yale University pursuing a B.A. in Ethics, Politics, and Economics and a Certificate in Mandarin Chinese.

Malaika Thiam-Bockman is a rising senior at Yale University pursuing a B.A. in Ethics, Politics, and Economics and a Certificate in Mandarin Chinese. She has an academic and career interest in constitutional law, international relations, and national security policy. At Yale, Malaika competes with the mock trial team, and she served as a team captain this past year. She is an active member of the Yale International Relations Association, through which she collaborates with a team to organize and conduct Model United Nations conferences across the globe. Additionally, Malaika explores domestic and international environmental law as a researcher at Yale Law School’s Schell Center for International Human Rights. Further, having worked on city council and congressional campaigns in New York, Malaika has professional experience in community organizing, voter mobilization, and policy writing. In her free time, Malaika enjoys choreographing for her student dance club, playing piano, and trying new coffee shops.
