Destiny Reese is a senior at Spelman College where she majors in English with a concentration in writing. She will be graduating summa cum laude in May 2021 as an Ethel Waddell Githii Honors scholar. She serves as the President of the Morehouse Spelman Pre-Law Society, an organization with roughly 180 members on the campuses of Spelman and Morehouse College. She is also a member of both the Sigma Tau Delta and the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Societies. While at Spelman, Destiny has served as a mentor, tutor, and peer assistant leader, which has allowed her to fulfill a passion for service and leadership.

Destiny is an advocate for policy reform and educational equity. She interned with Breakthrough Collaborative, an organization committed to increasing academic opportunity for underserved students in Atlanta. She also worked as a research assistant in Spelman College’s English Department, where she assisted a project that explored the Black Arts Movement of the 1960s and the ways in which the movement’s rhetoric prompted reform for the Black community.

In her free time, Destiny enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and shopping. Destiny joined Kostelanetz & Fink, LLP in 2021.
