Destiny Reese was Kostelanetz & Fink’s inaugural Spelman College intern during the Spring 2021 semester. She graduated summa cum laude from Spelman College in May of 2021 as an Ethel Waddell Githii Honors scholar. She received a B.A. in English with a concentration in writing. At Spelman, she served as the President of the Morehouse Spelman Pre-Law Society, an organization with roughly 180 members on the campuses of Spelman and Morehouse College and Vice-President of the Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society. While at Spelman, Destiny also served as a mentor, tutor, and peer assistant leader, which allowed her to fulfill a passion for service and leadership.

Destiny is an advocate for policy reform and educational equity. She interned with Breakthrough Collaborative, an organization committed to increasing academic opportunity for underserved students in the metro Atlanta area.  At Spelman, Destiny participated in SpelReads, a program designed to improve the literacy rates of students in the Atlanta Public Schools system. She also worked as a research assistant in Spelman’s English Department, where she assisted a project that explored the Black Arts Movement of the 1906s and the ways in which the movement’s rhetoric prompted reform for the Black community.

In her free time, Destiny enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, and educating herself and others about health and wellness. Destiny joined Kostelanetz & Fink, LLP in 2021.
