Maryland Super Lawyers Selects Caroline Ciraolo as “Top Rated Tax Attorney”

BALTIMORE (December 14, 2022) — Super Lawyers has selected Kostelanetz LLP partner Caroline D. Ciraolo for inclusion on the 2023 Maryland Super Lawyers list as a “Top Rated Tax Attorney in Baltimore, MD.”

Super Lawyers describes itself as a “rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.”

Ms. Ciraolo was also listed on the 2020, 2021, and 2022 Maryland Super Lawyers list and was previously included on the list from 2009 to 2015 (Top Ten 2013-2015; Top 25 Women since 2009) prior to serving as the Acting Assistant Attorney General of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Tax Division from 2015 to 2017.

Ms. Ciraolo co-founded Kostelanetz LLP’s Washington, D.C., office in 2017 and maintains an office in Baltimore to better serve Maryland-based clients. Earlier this year, Ms. Ciraolo and Jay R. Nanavati were selected for inclusion on the 2022 Washington DC Super Lawyers list. Ciraolo was recognized for her excellence in tax law. Mr. Nanavati is ranked as a top white-collar criminal defense attorney.

Inclusion on the annual list is an honorary distinction, as no more than 5 percent of applicant attorneys in each state are chosen based on “12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement,” according to Super Lawyers. The Super Lawyers lists are published nationwide in Super Lawyers Magazines and leading city and regional magazines and newspapers.
