Description:

The Diversity Committee continues the discussion it began in San Diego. The importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) has gained greater recognition in the workplace and many law firms and organizations have recently implemented new policies and initiatives. As we strive to diversify the legal profession, we need to recognize and address our implicit biases that create roadblocks to these efforts. This panel facilitates a discussion of common implicit biases, the impact they have on the legal profession, and current initiatives and best practices that attendees can apply to their own workplace.

• Understand the benefits of maintaining successful DEI initiatives
• Identify and remove impediments to improve DEI initiatives in the legal profession
• Enable participants to implement changes to their current programs to achieve their DEI goals
