December 14, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am PST

Bryan C. Skarlatos participates in a panel titled “What Every Tax Litigator Needs to Know About the Appeal of Their Civil or Criminal Case” at the 39th Annual National Institute on Criminal Tax Fraud and the 12th Annual National Institute on Tax Controversy.

Panel Description:

Most practitioners have tried tax cases but fewer have the experience of appealing a tax case. The case does not always end with the trial court’s judgment. Many lessons can be learned by the trial lawyer knowing the problems encountered on appeal and how they might have been avoided. This experienced group of tax litigators and appellate practitioners will discuss how to become a better trial lawyer in tax cases. CLE credit is offered for this event.

Panelists:

  • Bryan C. Skarlatos, Partner, Kostelanetz LLP
  • Diana Erbsen, Partner, DLA Piper LLLP
  • David Foster, Partner, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP
  • Alexander Patrick Robbins, Assistant United States Attorney, U.S. Department of Justice
